Hello, my name is Kara. I live in Beaverton with my partner and our cattle dog Amarri. I work from home and while I’m home, especially on the weekends we would love to host your dog at our house. Our dog Amarri loves dogs and we have a yard to play in. I would also be comfortable taking both dogs on a walk as we are already getting outside and it would be fun for Amarri to have some company. I’m hoping to walk early/mid morning or evening to miss the heat for the doggos. I own a house in a quiet neighborhood with lots of good walking paths.

Kara is the most positive, and kind person I know. She always looks at the bright side of everything and enjoys her life to the fullest. Her goal in life (besides finding her dream job) is to have a little furry friend to be her companion! Kara just graduated from OSU and is not quite ready to have her own pup, as she’s still figuring out some details In her life. She has been away at college, so her childhood dog still lives at home in Tillamook (Redbone is 18). She did years of 4-H, showing and working in dog obedience, along with learning to care for dogs. Walking dogs will allow Kara to enjoy the love of a dog and give her the opportunity to meet new furry friends! All dogs love her!

We have a fully fenced yard that the dogs can spend time in. We do something fun with Amarri everyday, and aim to keep her mentally stimulated and happy. Cleanliness in our house is important to us so grooming and any house rules are with that in mind.

My preference is for dogs that get along well with other dogs. Amarri isn’t alpha and plays really well with other medium to high energy dogs.
A typical day
Everyday we either go on a walk averaging 30 minutes to an hour, play in the yard, do a puzzle or go to the dog park depending on the day. On the weekends it’s important for us to really get out and explore, whether that’s going on a hike, 1000 acres dog park, or a beach day. Our weekend exploration always requires getting outside in nature and getting dirty.
