My husband and I are recently new to empty nest. We have a love for all animals. Over the years we have fostered numerous kittens in our home, nurturing them and getting them ready for adoption. Sometimes this care included bottle feeding and medication administration. I have volunteered at the local shelter working with dogs of all breeds and sizes as well as cats. We live in rural Guthrie, not a lot of traffic, lots of area to play and walk your pup. I do work outside the home however, my husband is self-employed and home more during the day. We have 3 adult cats, Boo, Stewart "Fat Stewie," and Carlos along one two year old dog named Loosey who is a cross between a Border Collie and Blue Heeler. All of which are shelter rescues. Loosey came to us at six weeks old, the runt of a litter of six, all of which were rescued from a neglect situation. We have used Rover and love the concept of having our dog watched in a home setting versus a kennel. Rover gave us peace of mind that our beloved Loosey was not sitting in a cage alone while we were vacationing.
