Pet care experience
I started my own dog walking and pet sitting business at eight caring for dogs, lizards, birds, cats and snakes. As an adult, I've worked as a dog trainer, doggy day care host, dog rehabber and in wild life rescue and rehab. I also have experience in trapping and rehabbing feral dogs. I have experience in giving oral medications, subcutaneous shots, as well as a plethora of behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and obedience. I offer pick up & drop off for 10$, unless you're down the street from me or boarding your dog for an extended time - then it's free. There’s a friendly black lab x chinese shar pei (my dog) around. He absolutely loves other dogs and will be quite happy to play. While there is a cat on the property, he is mainly outdoors. If your dog doesn’t get along with felines, just let me know and I can ensure the cat stays in a dog-free area.

Kara is a wonderful dog sitter! She is very experieced and skillful as well as caring and attuned to the needs and personality of your pet. She's also very reliable and communicative. What I particularly like is that she takes my dog on wonderful hikes in the Redwoods. Luna looks so happy when I pick her up!!!
We cannot say enough good things about Kara and how wonderful she was with Chance. We were in a bind when the original sitter fell through one week before our son(Chance's owner) was supposed to fly home to join us on a family trip. The scramble was on to find someone we could trust. I am so glad that I came across Kara's profile. She was so kind when I explained to her our situation and assured me that Chance was in good hands; and boy was he. She took him to the dog park and swimming for the first time. She sent us photos and videos daily. And every photo, Chance had a big smile on his face! She was amazing! We will definitely be using Kara again.
Kara was available on late notice and was fantastic! She provided frequent updates and pictures, and our Clea had a great time hanging out and making friends with her and her pup.
Kara was wonderful! She was able to take care of Jake last minute, was flexible and easy to work with. Communication was great, got lots of cute photos while she cared for him, and took him on a hike which he loves. Would love to work with Kara again when I am in the area next time. Highly recommend!

While I own close to an acre of un-fenced land, there is a secure deck where your dog can play and freely enter and exit the house at will. There's a daily hike for the pack and a park nearby. Our home is filled with toys, bones, and dog beds.
