I learned at a young age the correct phrase is 'home is where the pet is'! I have cared for cats and dogs since a young age by taking our Jack Russell on long walks at our local beach, running around the house with string tied to my waste being chased by our Siamese cats, or venturing on family road trips with our pets in tow. When I was old enough, I adopted my first pair of orange tabby brothers from a cat rescue in Pennsylvania. Yes, I drove over 1000 miles to retreive my very first pets - now that's committment! Over the past 10 years, families, friends, and neighbors have counted on me to care for their furry friends (many of whom have become social media stars!). I believe caring for pets is not just feeding, walking, playing or cleaning, but bonding with the animal. This means around the clock attention and spending genuine time with your animals.
