MUST LOVE DOGS
Pet care experience
My experience with dogs started in the rescue world and fostering dogs. After having my heart stolen I adopted a 4 year old named Vida. At that time I began diving into dog behavior and training to make sure we worked through her issues. It is amazing the difference a little love and patience have. I do have experience working with timid/anxious dogs and have been dog walking for 4 years. I also have experience in leash training and would be happy to add that into our walks if that is something you are working on or would like to improve. I am new to Rover but have references upon request.

Kara is the absolutely BEST! Most definitely recommend her services
Kara took great care of my 2 cats. She was very friendly, responsive and reliable. I would definitely ask her to look after my cats again! Thanks, Kara!
Kara was amazing! Our two cats absolutely loved her on first meeting and they were so well taken care of while we were away. She’s very diligent and sends great updates and lots of photos. Going out of town and leaving your pets can be stressful, but we had no worries knowing they were in excellent hands! Can’t recommend her highly enough!
Kara took great care of my kitties while I was on vacation. She had excellent communication and I loved that she sent me pics everyday she dropped in and cared for them. I would recommend her to anyone. She kept me at ease while enjoying my trip.

My approach to working with dogs varies widely dependent on your dogs temperament and physical needs. After a consultation we can decide what approach will be best for your furry one. Maybe they need a mid day run or perhaps they just prefer sniffing and strolling the block. I have a knack for matching each dogs energy to make sure they get the most out of our time together. Basic manners are also thrown in every chance I get. I do prefer a meet and greet before each booking for your own peace of mind as well as speaking about their individual needs. In the last minute cases (because life happens) I will just ask that you provide thorough instructions as well as if they are team smooth peanut butter or team crunchy :)
Information Kara K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know all you can about your pup to ensure we have a good time. Do they have any reactivity to other dogs, people or kids? Do they have a favorite treat or any food allergies. What level of activity do they enjoy or if they have any health issues? Do they like mental stimulation games?
A typical day
Dependent on the energy needs of your dog we can either go for a walk or a run. I like to try and find parks in the area or paths where they have ample sniffing. I will usually work on training once they're exhausted or play indoor games. All walks end with butt scratchies and positive affirmations to make sure they know they are a good boy/girl.
