We have 2 senior puggles (15yrs old) and a mini goldendoodle (9 yrs old) - along with 2 spunky bunnies (you can follow them on TikTok - Penny+George&Theo). I have cared for our dogs from puppyhood to adult as well as helped with friends, family, and neighbors pets. It's hard to go away and leave your pets with someone else! Our pups get so nervous when they see suitcases; so, I understand how reassuring it is to have someone there to care for your pet when you are away. When your dog is here, they are part of our family. Since we do have pets, I do require a meet and greet before your pup stays with us for the first time. Standard m&g will be 15/20 minutes. I will have you text when you arrive, and I will meet you outside. Your pup will have a few minutes to explore the back yard & get acclimated, and then I will have my dogs come out to join. Once everyone is acquainted, we will wrap up by going in the house and making sure your dog does ok inside as well and that everyone is comfortable. High energy dogs are welcome - as long as they are trained and socialized. I generally recommend your pup be scheduled for a day of doggie day care prior to booking a longer stay (more than 4 days). This will give you peace of mind while being out of town, and we can also make sure your pup is happy to be in our home and fits in well. Our bunnies (George & Theo) play with our dogs and loves to be out in the house but they do have their own bedroom (StudioBun) and will not be out free roaming in the house when your dog visits so everyone stays safe. My daughter (13 yrs old) frequently helps with neighborhood pets and loves to play and snuggle guest fur babies. My husband also works from home and loves animals. We have a beautiful fenced back yard for your pup to run, sniff, or just lounge in. If your dog sleeps in a crate, we will put the crate in our bedroom so your pup isn't alone or nervous. Please bring your dogs usual bedding. We have a beautiful fenced in back yard and keep the gates locked to ensure pups are always safe and free to run and play as they want. We are also walking distance from the brand new Pawmyra Dog Park! Your pup needs to be house trained to stay with us. We completely understand if an accident happens within the first day from a bit of nerves or unsure with their new space, but we are not equipped to host pups that are not able to do their business outside (or boy dogs that mark). Your dog also needs to be able to walk down the stairs to the patio and back up without assistance. Lastly, if your pup is super tiny (probably under 7lbs), they will likely be able to fit through the slots in the fence so our house wouldn't be a good host home for them (there is a picture of our backyard in my profile).
