A lover of all animals. Expert in doggie discipline. Former host family and trainer of Leader Dog puppies. Dog owner of a beautiful golden retriever. More than 35 years experience in dog and cat sitting. My house is dog friendly, and my dog is calm and patient with other pets. I have a fenced in yard. I love training dogs, and believe that with consistency and positive reinforcement, all dogs can learn new tricks! I learned a great deal about dog training through volunteering as a Leader Dog host family. I dog sit frequently for friends, family, and neighbors. From huskies to toy poodles, I take pride in making pets comfortable in my home and understanding the unique traits of different breeds. I also enjoy walking dogs, and use the time to work on basic obedience and always try to make it a fun time for doggies!

Kara's love of animals is apparent the moment she greets your dog. She knows how important these initial interactions are and she will take time to approach your dog on their terms. Once she gets to know them, she makes them feel special by making training and working with them a game. They will get lots of love and praise and a little doggie treat. They get brushed, walked and played with throughout their time with this experienced, caring pet lover. Your dog will always look forward to going to what we call "camp Kara".
Kara was outstanding with my dog. He was a 150 pound older Bull Mastiff. He had hip problems and she made good accommodations for his needs. My mother has also used her and absolutely was satisfied. She knows how to train dogs well, that is a plus. I highly recommend Kara for all your dog sitting/walking needs.
Kara has watched my 2 dogs many times. She shows them lots of loving and truly enjoys them. She has kind control over the dogs, she has lots of experience she has train 5 dog for leader of the blind. I would highly recommend her.
Kara is the best of the best! Our dogs have been with Kara on numerous occasions, both for walks and overnight, and no one takes better care of them. Kara is a compassionate dog-lover, and extremely knowledgeable about care and training. Our dogs are our family and I don’t like to leave them but if I do, I trust Kara 100% to not just care for my dogs but ensure they have a great time while I am away.
