Pet care experience
For someone in their mid thirties, I’ve had many years of personal pet care and providing pet care to friends and family. My husband and I have two dogs of our own, Simon and Balto. I am definitely that “dog mom” when it comes to my boys, I find a lot of joy knowing they are active and well taken care of. I have also become my Mother’s “assistant” with her current pets since a decline in her health three years ago. Making sure her dogs and cats are up to date on shots and monthly flea treatment, while providing walks and playtime since she doesn’t have a fenced in yard of her own. I have a huge passion for giving and I personally love giving all that I can to animals of my own and family/friends! I am happy to provide whatever you may need for your dogs or cats care and safety while you are away or at work.

HIGHLY recommend Kandace!! She cared for our fur baby as if she was her own. 🥰 The attention to detail was amazing - she thought of things I had even forgot to mention! She made sure our pup got everything she needed & more, with plenty of outside time, walks, and hugs. Updates at the end of check ins were thorough and SO fun for us to read while out of town. Got lots of cute pics and videos. Kandace is very trustworthy, responsible, and loving towards our dog. Literally couldn’t ask for anything more!! Will be requesting her again in the future for sure 🤗

Kandace exceeded all of my expectations when looking for someone to walk my dog. She communicated clearly, scheduled a time to come to my home before the first walk to meet crash and myself, arrived early and took amazing care of my dog. I received a ton of pictures and video along with messages from Kandace during their time together. During their first walk my dog got sick and Kandance took it upon herself to clean up the dog, his kennel and the cover, she even started the wash with his bedding. It does not get much better than that!
I’m very happy with the care my dog got! I have a 60 lb rescued German Shepherd. She can pull a bit and be reactive on the leash sometimes along with having a decent prey drive, so I have a hard time finding someone who is confident in handling that. Kandace did great and my dog seemed to enjoy it! I even got an intro video to see how they were getting along! I had no worries at all that my dog could be too difficult or that my dog could have gotten stressed out (she can get worried with new people)! Great dog walker!

I personally believe a pet is safest in their own home! While I have a large fenced in yard at my house, I want to make sure your pets are safe and comfortable in their own home. I would never remove your pet from your home unless an emergency was to occur and you were alerted immediately. As a pet owner, I prefer active communication and frequent pictures with updates to know my two boys are in the best hands, I would be more than thrilled to give you the same peace of mind while you are working or out of town!

I have three years of senior dog experience from having our own (my husband’s before marriage). I am very comfortable giving any type of medication, accident clean up, or picking up your dog if they are unable to go up or down steps. Please let me know if there are allergies and medications needed for your babies!
A typical day
I would only take your pet out of your home with your direction and permission! I can assure your fur baby (cat or dog) will be given active playtime in your home or yard during visits.

Availability
I work from home as a Recruiter with a well known shipping and printing company. I will make sure to update my calendar accordingly for each week/weekend for drop in visits and walks! *I will be stepping away from pet sitting for a few months for the birth of my first baby in July. I will return within 3-4 months post his arrival ☺️*
