I have taken care of dogs since I was 13. That’s when I got my first dog called Danny. (A Yorkie ) I now have a Frenchie called Lily, she’s five and she has got a very sweet nature. I am originally an English and German teacher and I have also worked as a nursery nurse in the nurseries. I believe that working with babies isn’t that far off working with pets. It all needs one to be patient, caring, enthusiastic, a good leader, vigilant, loving, have sense for fun and be energetic as they can wear you down fast :) I have had a chance to sit and walk some wonderful dogs in the past few years, mostly as a favour, and I absolutely loved it. Therefore I decided to pursue my love for animals and spend more time with them. I think that’s the best job there is :) and it doesn’t even feel like a job. I am also an outdoorsy and a very active person so I am happy to walk the dogs no matter the weather. I have a little boy, 3,5 years old and he just started the nursery which makes me fully flexible as I’m free while he’s there. School terms or evenings he can join me on walks as he’s used to being around dogs and he loves it. I have a spacious car so it’s easy to collect your dog anywhere and take them to the local or any of your favourite park. When my Lily goes to her sitter, my priority for her being boarded is that she’s rarely left alone and is always supervised - and I pursue the same idea with the digs that I look after. I spend all my time with the dogs and rarely leave them alone. I supervise them at all times and your pet’s safety is my utmost priority. There isn’t a garden in our place but I always walk the dogs to the nearby lakes in Frogmore and let them have plenty of exercise so the garden won’t be missed. There is an endless number of trails around the lakes and some stunning views and all the owners of the dogs that I board love seeing the videos of their dogs running there! They love it so much that they even return there themselves to explore the area! I have a First Aid training and at the moment I am studying a Pet’s psychology, a dog walking and sitting course online, just to be sure I have good knowledge of looking after your dog besides my experience. As mentioned, I have a Frenchie called Lily - she gets on well with new dogs. She can be quite dominant first and she gets on better with submissive dogs, but she settles well after a short while with all dogs and she ends up missing her new friends after they leave!
