Kamalu needed to house-sit our Ridgeback because her apartment was too small. As far as we can tell, our dog was fed and walked and cared for. Our house was not. We came back from a 10 day trip to find the sink loaded with dirty dishes, the dishwasher packed wrong with crusty dishes, and food fragments throughout the kitchen attracting a hoard of ants. It took several hours to clean, and this is the last thing you want when returning from a long trip. Outside while cleaning my pool, there were beer bottle caps all over, cigarette butts and even a vap. It appears our house was used as a party house while we were away. It is inexcusable to exploit someone's house this way while watching a dog. She did ask permission to have "a few" friends over to swim, and knowing how she picks up after herself, and the liability of having a drinking fest, I should have said "no." Kamalu is a very messy college student and irresponsible in taking care of a house.
