Pet care experience
I have been a Rover sitter for over 6 months now! I have been hired for dog walking and house-sitting primarily. Before that I helped care for my friend’s and family’s dogs as needed.
Reviews
Kalyssa was great with Marlowe and I could tell he loved the attention she gave him! House was spotless when I returned.
Kalyssa was so wonderful for our large, energetic golden retriever! She sent tons of pictures while we were away and kept us updated on how things were going. We felt very reassured our pup was in good hands and came home to a clean house with a happy dog. Would absolutely recommend her!
Kalyssa is fantastic! She jumped in same day to help with our fur children in a pinch while we were out of town. Don't hesitate to reach out to her and book her pet services 😻
We were incredibly fortunate to have Kalyssa take care of our home and cats while we were away for a few days. Their communication was excellent and even sent adorable pictures of our fur kid helping with a crochet project (Peter really is the best helper!). :) It was evident Kalyssa went above and beyond to ensure our kitties felt loved and our home remained in pristine condition. We returned to happy cats and a house that looked as if we had never left. Highly recommend Kalyssa for their reliability, care, and genuine love for pets. ♥️😻

When I lived in a home with dogs I would go with them on walks, make sure to engage them with play as well as attention, however also making sure to not reward over-energetic behavior such as jumping or barking and being mindful of behaviors the owner is trying to train out. (Update: I have been finding it hard to provide consistent walk routines, although not impossible. I may be better suited to dogs that are happy with flexible walk schedules depending on energy that day. If your dog needs a strict walk schedule I may not be the best choice, though I’m sure you will be able to find a better fit with another sitter!) I personally have a cat which I care for with scheduled feeding and lots of snuggles. I don't plan on boarding, as my home is more than just me and I wouldn't want to inconvenience my roommates but I am happy to learn how to give specialty care for your animal at your home as needed.
Information Kalyssa B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is reactive towards others and to what extent so I can make sure I don’t bring your dog into an environment that isn’t safe for them. I am happy to avoid other dogs and people on walks if that’s best. I haven’t injected medicine before and that may be out of my comfort zone, but outside of that I am happy to learn special routines to care for your dog!
A typical day
I’d love to snuggle on the couch with your pet while I draw or work on my DnD prep or to enjoy sunshine and some play time in the backyard or in nearby parks together. I am finding myself more low-energy lately so I would pair well with pets that are happier to mellow out and play later in the day!
Services

Availability
I work part time as a barista, my shifts are usually in the morning/afternoon for about 4-4.5 hours which means it’s not usually too long before I can get back to the house and help give your pets potty breaks or take them their walks.
