I grew up with 2 dogs ( a "mutt" and a yellow lab/shar pei mix) and several cats, who were all beloved members of the family. I lived with 2 Australian shepherds while in law school and loved everything about their quirky personalities. I spent the last 3 years helping care for a senior Boston terrier, who thought she was human and was the best treated member of the family. Snuggling, walking and generally caring for her was the highlight of my day! I have two daughters (age 11 and 9) who may be around during the sitting. They are great with animals. They have 2 cats at their dad's house and we have many family and friends with animals that they interact with, including everything from a 5 lb morkie poo to a 100 lb Great Pyrenees 1 year old "puppy". I think it's important for them to learn how to care for and treat animals, even if we don't currently have a pet of our own. I have also done pet transport for a dog rescue. Nothing better than helping a rescue dog get to their forever home! I hope I get to enjoy your pet too!
