Responsible & trustworthy!

I unfortunately trusted this individual with the care of my two dogs for 3 nights and wish I never had. We had great communication prior to her housesitting my dogs. She came for a meet and greet, I laid out my expectations and dog schedule, and honestly thought my dogs were in great hands. I got an update the first day and one on the second day, zero the third night. I honestly did not think anything of it, believing my dogs were in good hands. I messaged her Sunday morning with my ETA home and within 20 minutes of my arrival home, approximately 10am, she messaged me back saying she had to leave suddenly due to an emergency and she would bring my key back, but that my dogs and get to be fed for the day. I tried being understanding, and told her it was fine and that I hoped everything was okay. She brought my key back and I went inside and knew something was wrong. The towels laid out for her stay were untouched, bed left in the condition I left it in, and half a can of open beer (normally would not care) left open on the counter. It appeared as if no one had stayed at my house despite our service agreement. I sent her a message asking if she stayed the night or just did drop in visits, in which she responded to only have performed drop in visits, and did not housesit or stay the night with the dogs as I had paid her too. But she had let them out frequent enough. At this point my trust in the quality of care for my dogs was gone. I informed her that she never once mentioned during our meet and greet or at any other point that she would not be staying the night. And despite her telling me she had spent time with the dogs, I did no longer trust the care she actually provided. She told me previous clients have never had an issue with her not staying the night, but again I informed her that was never a conversation she had with me. I feel deceived by this woman, having paid for 3 nights of house sitting and 3 drop in visits. But even worse, I fear that my dogs, while may have been let out a couple times were neglected and not provided the care I paid for and trusted her with. One of my dogs is crated, and I don’t know how long he was left in the crate during the night and j to the next morning when he had not yet been fed by the time I got home at 10. I too am a service provider for Rover and cannot imagine not fulfilling a service someone had paid for. But even more importantly neglecting someone else’s dogs the way I believe mine were neglected. A Rover report was filed and I truly am disappointed.
