*around for most major holidays!* Hello all! I'm Kalie, and I'm a native Californian that has spent time in Philly and made my way to Somerville to work in research at a local university. I'm an avid runner, hiker, and cuddler - which means that I love long walks outside and sharing my life with fuzzy creatures. Sound like anyone you know? I've had experience with dogs my whole life, as I grew up and was responsible for an amazing female German Shepard mix named Maggie. Additionally, I've also cared for bunnies, cats of all ages, and aquatic pets, and currently have two cats of my own - a 9 year old Persian mix girl and a 4 year old Tabby mix boy that I raised from kittenhood! While I am not in the point in my life to care for a dog on my own, I miss the companionship and would love to make a connection with your family to make your fuzzy friend feel at home when you're away. I'd love to have a chance to become a part of your and your fuzzy friend's life, so please feel free to get in touch! I'm available all nights of the week, as well as available for daily walks to your friend's favorite spots! I am very reliable and always on time. I have a love for dogs and pets of all shapes and sizes, and bring an enthusiasm for making your pet comfortable while you are away. I worked in customer service for a number of years, and I understand the importance of making sure everyone is happy and satisfied with each and every experience. I currently reside in Porter Square and happy to travel around the area! Why I love dog sitting I picked out my first puppy, Maggie, when I was 3. She was a German Shepard/Sheltie mix and she understood me like no other. I've since had another dog named Mia who is also a German Shepard mix, but probably with Chow Chow! I love all dogs - small, big, hairy, shaven - you name it! I'm also a huge cat lover - so if you need someone who can also watch your cute kitties, I'm happy to oblige! My experience administering medication I have administered oral medicine before in all forms (cats and dogs) and have no trouble doing it!

Kalie was great! I recently adopted a dog and this was my first experience with a dog sitter. Kalie was so nice, on time and even stayed a bit later than planned when I was running late. Bella seemed really happy hanging out with her and even followed Kalie to the door when she was leaving. Appreciate such a good first experience and definitely recommend Kalie’s company for your pets.
Kalie graciously helped us out at the very last minute while we were out of town. She took excellent care of both of our dogs. We returned home to two very happy puppies. I would love to use Kalie again and would highly recommend her!

While I don't have a place to care for animals in my own house, I'm more than happy to come to yours either for drop-bys or staying over, whatever is best for your pet! I am a clean-freak in my own house, so I maintain a similar environment wherever I go. I also provide regular check-ins and photos to guarantee that I am providing the best comfort to your pet while you're away.

I am open to all shapes and sizes of dogs and cats! I've watched everything from a labordoodle to a pit bull to a miniature greyhound. I love them all! It is helpful to know if they have any special needs, any little things they do that might be unusual that I shouldn't be afraid of, as well as anything I should specifically look out for. I always keep dogs away from other dogs and never go to dog parks to minimize risks while you are away, but let me know if there are any other specific requests you have regarding your animal around other animals.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog While I do have to go to work during the weekdays, I can spend most all of the other time with your pet if that's what they need / you want! Extra house-sitting services Definitely! I can take care of anything else you need. I can water plants, pick up mail, grab newspapers - whatever can help you feel like your house is being cared for.
