I'm very active in my free time so I enjoy running through parks with dogs. When I play with my shih tzu Shadow, I love running with her but also maintaining a pace that she can keep up with, giving her cooldown periods, and always carrying her water & treats in her own special bag. Having a furbaby of my own allows me to approach every dog I see with the same affection, patience, and care. For example, when I was in high school, a stray German Shepherd entered the campus and everyone was shook thinking the poor girl was going to attack. I approached her and saw that she was in heat. I wrapped my scarf gently around her neck as a leash until police arrived and took the dog to her owner via the address on the collar.
