I started volunteering at my local animal shelter back in 2018 after graduating college and decided to take on the responsibility of caring for my dog. I always had dogs and cats growing up, but Darci (my 4 year-old corgi) is my first fur child that I raised on my own since she was a puppy. She is my best friend and is easily the best doggy companion who has been through everything with me (moving from city to city, school, relationships, all family functions, etc.). When I brought Darci home, I did everything that a first-time dog owner would do: ALL the dog research about how to raise a puppy, train it, potty training, basic commands, etc. I even put Darci through puppy training courses. Skip to late 2022 and I adopted Tuck, my blue heeler/corgi mix pup. Darci, Tuck and I are thriving here in Louisville, KY and have been for the last year and a half. I'm originally from Missouri but moved out-of-state for a new beginning. I've been on Rover for about 2 years and I'm always looking to take on new clients and their pets!
