Pet care experience
I've always had pets growing up and love all animals. I got started petsitting for friends and family when I was in college, and I love it. I have experience with short-term and long-term commitments (anywhere from 1 month to 2.5 years).

Kayleigh takes excellent care of our 2 Rhodesian ridgebacks. She is prompt and responsive, communications are great, love all the photos and updates she shares, she’s very caring and professional. Highly recommended.

I'm comfortable with elder pets or any with ongoing medical needs, as well as dogs who need lots of contact and exercise. I have experience with dogs that are young or still in training and am happy to practice training and help keep any home boundaries that may be set for your pet. However, I am by no means a certified pet trainer. I cannot currently host pets in my own home, but I am available to stay on premises or commute daily for potty breaks and keeping your pets company.

Important to know ahead of time would be any of your pets' needs that would require me to be there for large portions of the day so I can plan ahead with my schedule. In addition, if you'd like me to come for a meet and greet with your pets so they (and you) can get comfortable with me, I am happy to schedule that in.
A typical day
Each morning I wake up and make sure everyone goes potty. We will have breakfast and then walkies either early in the morning or after dinner to beat the heat. I may leave for one or two meetings each day but I will return for potty breaks. We will have play time and lots of cuddles according to boundaries and needs of each pet.

Availability
**I am currently fully booked for overnight housesitting through August 1, 2024. I am not accepting bookings past that at this time. Future bookings may reopen as soon as March 18.** I work part-time and have no pets of my own. My other job has a flexible schedule and I have no problem rearranging my appointments for whatever needs your pet may have. I have a few meetings/events each week that are inflexible. I am happy to provide the dates and times for those. In general, I am available both weekdays and weekends.
