I’ve been around pets my entire life, but when I was about 10 my family got a dog, and every summer and some holidays when the rest of the family would go out of town I was responsible for taking care of the dog. As I got older I started watching the pets for even more family members, up to six at a time, and for as long as over a week. In college my family got a puppy and I was able to dog sit him during the days and was even able to foster a puppy for about six months in 2023. When I was in high school and training for cross country I always brought the dogs with me running. More recently, as a stay at home mom, I’ve been able to care for close friends and family members pets while taking care of my son.
