Pet care experience
Hello! I love animals of all shapes and sizes, dogs being my favorites to this day. I have my own dog, a rescue, who joined my family at 6 months old several years ago. Ever since I haven't been able to say no to any furry friends! I have experience with both young and old dogs and their needs, having dog sat and owned one in the past. I am very good with all sizes of dogs as well; large or small, I love them all! Additionally, I am an avid distance runner--- I love the outdoors and will happily take your dog for anything from a leisurely walk to a run. I am fully comfortable with walking dogs through various parks, trail systems, and neighborhoods, and know how to assure their safety in a metropolitan area. My own dog and I run together frequently throughout Overland Park. Due to this, I am also very adept at noticing and caring for canine needs before, after, and during exercise. I hope you allow me the chance to care for and walk your dog!

HIGHLY recommend kalea. My dog can be a bit of a stinker to walk until she gets some initial energy out, but kalea handled her like a champ! Nara was happy and worn out after their run!

Kalea lives in our neighborhood and frequently dog sits for us. She is always on time and incredibly reliable. Kiwi, our boxer, enjoys going on walks with her. Kalea has a great attitude and clearly loves animals!
According to Kalea, when she goes to college in September, the “person” that she will miss most is Maverick, the family dog. This is not a disparagement of her parents or sister but rather a testimonial to her love of Maverick. Kalea understands that pets as well as people need to have regular exercise. She not only is diligent about walking her dog but she also likes to run with him, up to several miles a day. She understands the importance of a proper diet. She practices this to the maximum for herself and for her dog. Pet owners can be assured that Kalea will enforce whatever rules and discipline are in effect for their dogs. Maverick has been trained to stay in the family room and kitchen, although there are no physical barriers to his exploring the entire house. I have seen Kalea primarily with her own dog, but I am assured that she would exhibit the same loving care to any dog in her care.
