Pet care experience
Caring for animals has always been my passion. I (Kalai) grew up centering my life around them from the very beginning. I’ve truly had experience caring for all ages, behaviors, activity levels, and many different medical needs. I've fostered for a rescue, and have worked as a sitter for many dogs with demanding medical needs. My fiancé Sam and I have also worked at a vet clinic in the boarding facility, and assisted with grooming, vaccinations, and other medical care and procedures. We take the health, well-being, and happiness of my own pets very seriously and will do the same for any animal under our care. I (Kalai) am the one that will be caring for your pet. Sam assists only when we are boarding pets in our home (service currently not offered).

Kalai was awesome. We had contacted Kalai to walk our dog two days as we were going to be out of town. Kalai took the time to come to our house a few days before to meet coco. Our dog was nervous around new people but Kalai was wonderful and did everything to make coco warm up and feel comfortable. She brought her treats and overall is great!!

Kalai was an awesome host for our pups! She was very organized and easy to contact. We got multiple updates a day, and the dogs had a great time.
We were extremely pleased with our puppy’s stay with Kalai and Sam! They were very diligent on sending us pictures and updates on Elsa, as this was her first time boarding with people she didn’t know…I found Kalai and Sam extremely nice and felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them. I would so recommend them to anyone boarding in Flagstaff.

Boarding: We have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pups company! Kira loves to play but is respectful of dogs that are just not interested. Chaco is older and leaves the playing up to Kira most of the time but loves a pack setting. We do have two cats that are good with other dogs. I request that your dog has experience with cats or if not, please let me know so I can ask some follow-up questions and make accommodations as long as they have not shown a high prey drive with small animals. If caring for your pet at my home, then I can only watch dogs that are not cat friendly over the weekends (Friday-Sunday).

Please let me know if your pets have exhibited any anxiety or aggressive behaviors. If they are staying with us, I especially need to know this and if they have a prey drive. It isn't an automatic "no"-- I just need to make sure I can make necessary accommodations for the safety of your pets and mine :)
A typical day
If your pups are staying with us, we'll spend up to an hour each day exploring the trails across the street from us. We'll also spend plenty of time together outside in the sun. If I'm staying with them at your place, then I'll ask you about walking areas nearby.

Kalai & Sam can watch in your home
Availability
I (Kalai) will be the one taking care of your pet. When we board pets at our home (service currently not offered), Sam helps out too. If I take on caring for your pet, I will be able to let your dog out every 4-6 hours during the day. I take my two dogs out for daily walks. I’m happy to take your pup on extra walks, trail runs, easy walks- whatever your pup needs. We have a fenced backyard and also a trail system right across the street if your pup is staying with us!
