Pet care experience
After deciding to not become a Veterinarian and instead purse a career in design, I take any opportunity to be involved with animals! I have volunteered at animal hospitals, shelters, pet sitting etc as I wait for the time to adopt a puppy of my own. I've taken care of puppies, dogs, cats, disabled animals and even reptiles for family and friends of family for years. I'd often be the go-to option for family friends when they needed someone reliable to come check in on their furry family, house-sit for extended trips or drop in to give important prescriptions to pets. Like I have done in the past, I'll always care for your pets as if they are my own - which means even a regular visit for breakfast/dinner means a little play time outside (if applicable) and a few extra belly scratches!

Hello, KaJay is a wonderful candidate to be a dog carer/walker. She is very responsible and thoughtful with our dogs and friends dogs. She is responsible and has experience with foster dogs. My dogs give her the extra howl and wiggles anytime she is around and I am very comfortable with her taking care of my dogs. She is ultimately outdoorsy, so you can depend on her walking in rain, snow or shine!

If your fur babies come to my house for pet-sitting, I have a large fenced in yard to walk them or let them run. With my work from home schedule, I like to get up and stretch my own legs often through the day so many walks around the yard or down the rail trail are possible. Though my apartment is 2 floors, the stairs aren't too steep for our 4-legged friends and they are welcome to roam. At night, if the puppy/dog needs to be in a crate I have the space to accommodate their little portable bedrooms (crate).

If the dogs need any special medications, ailments the pup may have, their friendliness with other dogs/animals and people or if they have a particular routine at home.
A typical day
I live right on the rail trail so I like to take the pups out for long (or short if they are older) walks to get the zoomies out or if that doesn't do it I take them to a park (or dog park if nearby). If the dogs are very active, and with owners consent, I would love to take the dogs for a bigger adventure to a dog friendly hike or swim on a hot day! Although I am usually active, if it's a dog that isn't keen or able for much physical activity, I love to pamper them with snuggles and treats while we relax.

Availability
Fortunately I am a full-time, remote, self-employed graphic designer so my schedule during the week is very flexible. I can bring my work anywhere too so even if there is work to be done, house-sitting is convenient for me to adapt to and daily visits are an easy addition to my schedule with at least 1 days notice.
