Pet care experience
I have always grown up with dogs, and more recently, became a pet parent myself! I've raised my puppy since he was 8 weeks old, and he is now 1 year old. I've engaged in different levels of dog training from Puppy I all the way to Adult Dog II. I have also been helping to pet sit for my friends for the past year. They have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their pup for the day or weekend.

I’d give Kaiya more stars if I could. She was wonderful with our dog Jasper. He really took to her and seemed very content when we came home from our weekend away. Kaiya is also extremely responsible and very professional. She sent us updates with photos, contacted us with any questions and kept the house beautifully. We would be happy to hire her again.
Kaiya was an absolute dream dog walker. She was competent (with my energetic lab/hound), prompt and flexible. I would highly recommend Kaiya!!
Kaiya was very prompt in responding to my request and was amazing to work with! She is punctual, friendly, and was amazing with my pup. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to walk their dog or watch them for a few days.

I am a firm believer that each pet parent knows what is best for their pup. When in client's homes, I stick to the routine they have set, and always try to use language that the dog knows for commands. I always want to be sure that I am following the rules set in the home (ie. if the dog can be on the furniture, etc), and check in with pet parents by sending dog photos while they are away!

I am a firm believer that each pet parent knows their pup best. I typically ask for a run down of the dog's schedule, and ask about any house rules that the pet owner may have. I also find it helpful to know what commands the dog knows, as each dog knows different words. Anything that a pet owner finds important is also important to me!
A typical day
I love spending time with dogs both indoors and outdoors. I always try to find safe spots to bring dogs off leash, if possible. If not, I go for long walks, and let the dogs do a "sniffari" where they can sniff around at their leisure. I am also used to dog training, and love teaching/ reinforcing different commands.

Availability
Pet care is a part of my daily routine! I have a 1 year old puppy and work from home, so my dog is my whole world. I am used to taking my pup out throughout the day, and love bringing him to off-leash areas for fetch. I recognize the importance of a routine for dogs, and stick to one each day!
