I have been an animal lover my whole life. Growing up, we always had a dog in the house which taught me the responsibility and love that comes with owning an animal. Through the years, I have watched friends dogs and cats while they were away, taken them on walks, and cared for them by simply spending time with them. When I was about nine years old, I remember finding a stray in my neighborhood. I was worried she was lost and her owner was sad that she was missing. So I quickly grabbed some treats, a collar and leash, and went off to retrieve the pup. Once I had her on the leash, I walked her door to door asking if she belonged to anyone; I needed to make sure she returned home safely. I did this because I thought how devastated I would be if this was my beloved friend, hoping that someone would have done the same for me. Needless to say, I will treat your dog as my very own and love them unconditionally.
