I have lived with animals all my life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, hermit crabs, and a turtle. When I became a teenager, I began taking care of the animals in my home. My parents adopted an elderly pug, who became my favorite pet. I would feed, water, bathe, and massage her regularly. She needed special treatment with her eyes, ears, back, and hips, which I helped take care of. From January 2017 to May 2018, I volunteered at my hometown's Humane Society with the cats. Some of my responsibilities included cleaning cages; feeding, watering, adopting out, transporting cats, and socializing the cats; and supervising new volunteers. I am passionate about humane animal care and I treat every animal as kindly as I would my own. Speaking of, my dog is my baby. He’s a 6 month old pug who I love more than anything.
