My name is Katie and I’m 30 years old. I have lived in Colorado since 2020, and love it so far! I’m a student here at CU Boulder (Go Buffs!) and it’s the best decision I have made. I love hiking (with and without puppers!) and reading with a doggo next to me. I have always lived with animals. My mother and I had a habit of rescuing abandoned stray litters of kittens and we always kept one. I grew up surrounded by kittens, dogs, and even a bird at one point. Now I live with two wonderful rescue mutts. Flexible hours during the week and available most weekends. Send me a message for my availability so we can discuss specifics. I can do overnight stays so your pet can get 24/7 attention if needed! Kaitlynn has been so great with our dogs! She is very communicative with us, sending updates and photos regularly. Our two older dogs, Lincoln and Orion, have been going on weekly walks with her for almost three months now and they adore her! And I am so relieved that I can trust Kaitlynn with them as both are reactive to other dogs. Just from speaking with her during the meet and greet, I could tell Kaitlynn has a great deal of experience working with behaviorally challenging dogs. Kaitlynn really leaned in to our dogs' behavior quirks that I was afraid the average dog walker would shy away from. When we needed to travel for a family event, we were again relieved to have found Kaitlynn. We were worried about leaving our 13-week-old, rambunctious puppy home for the first time, in addition to the chaos that is our two Australian shepherds. Kaitlynn's updates throughout the day put us at ease and some of the puppy updates made us laugh. All three dogs were tuckered out when we came home so I am sure they had a great time. We definitely hope to continue booking Kaitlynn in the future!
So lucky to have Katy care for our dogs. She is well knowledgeable with dog care and alleviated any worry while we were away. She took great care of our two dogs and our house, would definitely recommend her. Thank you Katy!

For my clients home I try to stick as close as possible to the dog’s existing routine. Dogs are creatures of habit (like us!) so I try to make the transition as stress free as possible. I will provide daily walks and potty breaks as close to their regular time as I can. I will feed them exactly how you tell me to! Please alert me to any medication needs.

I love all breeds. I love going on nice walks with dogs so I do need to know your dog's temperament when seeing other dogs or humans outside. Please let me know their typical energy level as well so I can adjust accordingly!
A typical day
Walking, fetch, playtime-- the basics! I like bringing a ball or one of the dog's toys to have them carry and stop for some playtime during walks! It gives them a "job" and makes it easy to stop in a nice grassy area or park for some zoomies. I also would love to play games with the pup's toys at their own home, outside or inside. I like hiding treats or a portion of their food in toys to give them some enrichment also! Let me know your pup's (or kitty's!) favorite activities and I'll be sure to include them :).

Availability
I currently attend classes but my early mornings and afternoons are typically very free for walks and attention. My late day is Monday but for overnight stays I absolutely can make it work.
