Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of animals since I was 12. I worked with and cared for multiple dogs and small mammals throughout highschool for work. I am going to be a junior zoology major through an online program. I was an animal care intern at the Peoria zoo this past summer and take care of my colleges rat and frog colonies. I have extensive experience caring for a large range of animals, including those with special health and age related needs.

Kaitlyn stopped by to let our dogs out and feed them while we were away for the afternoon. She was great! She came by on short notice and was right on time. Definitely recommend and would book with her in the future!

I own two cats, both of which are calmer in temperament, and have available separate space to care for smaller animals in my home. Currently I watch my family’s bird when they travel and keep him in a Separate room and the cats know to keep out as well as safety precautions I take to keep everyone safe.

I do have experience caring for elderly and special needs pets. I have administered oral and topical medication as well as subcutaneous fluids. I am also more than willing to learn new skills in order to take care of your pet! And will do all that I can to ease the stress that comes along with caring for higher-need pets.
A typical day
I love to take dogs for walks that are centered around them being as mentally stimulated as they are physically. This means exploring new smells and sights, and working to make sure they dog/s are able to fully enjoy their time outside.

Although I am a full-time student, because my program is online my schedule is very flexible. This means that I can work with you to be available during times that others may find hard to work during.
