Hello! My name is Kaitlyn, and simply put - I love dogs! I love animals of all kinds; however, my passion is to care for and work with dogs. I have memories of being 3 years old, asking my family dog to sit, all the while eating the cheese that was meant to be its reward! Since then, I have learned a lot about how to properly work with dogs, and I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge with you! I would love to help your dog become more obedient, socialized, and just overall more balanced. A balanced dog is a happy dog! I also understand the stresses involved in managing lifestyle and raising a pet, which is why I’ve decided to open up my home for Dog Daycare and Boarding. Whether you are going on vacation, going away for work, or just need a day to yourself without distractions, I am confident that my services will suit your needs. One of the main goals of my Daycare and Boarding service, in addition to ensuring the proper care and safety of your dog, is to properly socialize and introduce your dog to the pack life. I have two dogs of my own – Bo Peep, the Old English Sheepdog, who is 11 years old, and Bruder, the Shar Pei/Shepherd mix, who is almost 2 years old. They help me out immensely when it comes to socializing, and both have important roles in the pack. Bruder is great at playing with other dogs, while Bo Peep is great at teaching and re-enforcing boundaries. I prefer to do an initial meet-and-greet to assess your dog’s obedience and energy level, and determine any potential needs for training. This can include commands, manners, and on-and-off leash skills. If it’s a right fit, I will work with you closely to keep you updated on your dog’s progress, as well as relay any training we have worked on, in order for you as the owner to maintain consistency at home. If your dog has not boarded with me for an extended period of time, I will encourage another meet-and-greet to reassess the level of training at that point. Regardless if your dog stays for just one day or many, I will treat it as if it was one of my own! I’m excited to facilitate your journey as a dog owner, and look forward to meeting you and your pup!
