Experienced, Professional Care

Pet care experience

Hello! You can find me on Instagram @KaitlynsPetCare. Ive only been on Rover for a couple months now but I love it and I’ve worked with animals professionally for over a year at an animal shelter and more at a boarding facility. I have had animals all my life, from big dogs (like my current almost 2 year old yellow Labrador Retriever), energetic boxers, to small mixed chihuahuas. I’ve raised them from puppies, potty trained, crate trained, and have completed my 7th dog obedience training class with my current dog. Neighbors and family have relied on me to care for their pets for weeks at a time. *PLEASE READ* I will ask you to provide proof of yearly vaccines. Our yard is treated with flea and tick treatment but I recommend Simparico Trio or other flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. There are collars or monthly pill treats like Simparico Trio. If your dog is a barker or whiner, please do not book with me. My daughter is still in her nap stage and sometimes hard to get to sleep. If it is due to separation anxiety and you can provide prescription medication from a vet I can work with that. I love dogs and can usually handle barking/whining but my baby cries enough, please understand! That goes with crates too. For my babies safety and protection of my property and even their safety (we don’t want them tearing and eating carpet and whatnot) they will be crated for parts of the day. If your dog does good outside of the crate then they may not have to be crated. My house is baby proofed and I am very attentive to my baby and the dogs, often playing with them together if they do well! *I am currently only accepting dogs from one family at a time*

Kaitlyn was super proactive with communication, very kind, and gave Nancy lots of care and attention. I liked her questions and her ideas during the meet and greet as well. Nancy had a blast playing with Kaitlyn’s dog.

Kaitlyn has taken care of my cat a few times while I was out of town. She did amazing, and my cat loved her! My cat is very timid around unknown people, but she was always at the door to greet her! She has also helped with my dog Rosie, once while I was out of town. She came and walked her and played with her. Rosie loves spending time with Kaitlyn. She has walked Rosie numerous times for me and even came and checked up on her a few times. She has been amazing to have and I 100% trust her to take care of my pets when I am unable to. She knows what she’s doing!

Kaitlyn has been an amazing help taking care of and walking my dogs. I have 2 dogs, a boxer and a chihuahua mix and she has handled them both with great care. She is very knowledgeable about their behaviors and what they need. She is trustworthy and reliable. I will definitely be using her again!

Information Kaitlyn D. would like to know about your pet

Do they have separation anxiety, and if so how do you go about that? Do they have any special needs? Are they crate trained/potty trained? Have they been trained? Do they pull on the leash? Do they have any behavioral problems or triggers for me to watch out for? Are they familiar with children and babies?

A typical day

I am good at stimulating dogs mentally by talking to them and working on their commands or tricks. Using their toys, walking, and playing are ways I get out their energy physically.
