Kaitlin is my youngest daughter. She had always been incredibly responsible with the family dog Cloe (who passed away last month), even from the young age of 11 when we got her as a puppy. Kaitlin was always dependable and reliable with taking care of the dog according schedule. The last few years of Cloe's life were filled with disease and a strict medication schedule - multiple pills and liquids at different times of day, each with different instructions and requirements. Kaitlin made the schedule and speadsheet to ensure the whole family could easily communicate everything about the medications: which times they needed to be given, with or without food, doses, etc, with a system where whoever administered the medication would time and initial to ensure every instruction was followed. Kaitlin was also the main person to bathe and groom Cloe. Being a Sheltie, brushing was a necessary and consistently needed evil (Cloe never liked it). Kaitlin always made sure to ensure Cloe was as happy and comfortable as possible during all grooming activities. Be it giving a treat once in a while, telling Cloe what a good girl she was, to petting her and speaking calmly to help keep her calm, Kaitlin was a natural at reassuring Cloe that everything was okay. Kaitlin truly LOVES dogs, and all furry animals. She gets so much joy from being around dogs, and always says that their happiness is so infectious. She simply loves seeing animals be their naturally happy selves, and she loves helping them achieve that by caring for them even more! Any pet would be truly lucky to be in her care. My daughter is a very concientious person, and is always taking others into consideration before herself. She will always make sure to follow instructions given by the dog owner and to communicate during visits, be it simply texting pictures to let them know everything went well, or to communicate anything more serious such as an illness or injury. My daughter was a truly responsible dog owner, who deeply misses our family dog. Unfortunately, we are unable to adopt a new dog until we pay off Cloe's vet bills. Caring for other dogs through your company would be such a wonderful way for Kaitlin to be able to spend time with dogs and other animals that she loves and cares for so deeply.
