Pet care experience
If you're looking for a sitter or dog walker, you've come to the right place. I've been taking care of everything from horses, reptiles, and chickens, to dogs and cats for at least 20 years. I currently own 2 dogs and I have professional dog training experience as well as animal shelter experience. I am experienced in dealing with dogs with stranger danger, in part because I own one, and i will be more than happy to meet you and your furry friend as many times as it takes with you present so they get to know, and trust, me. If your pet is on medication, I'm experienced in that as well. I will send pictures, if requested, while you are away from your pet and do anything possible to make your life and your pet's life easier while you are away.

Kaitlin was awesome, she came over the night before to discuss what I wanted done for my fur babies. Everything I asked was done 100% and my fur babies seemed happy when she took there pictures on every visit.
Kaitlin was great with my boys, took them on a nice walk and kept me updated.

Kaitlin was conscientious and sweet to my basset hounds while I was gone for a week. She notified me when she visited and sent photos. When one of my dogs got muddy, she went beyond the call of duty and cleaned him up. She administered prescribed meds as well. Would use again. There was an issue on day 1 with a thunderstorm which caused one of my dogs to panic. He dug into my neighbor’s back yard, and thankfully that neighbor was home to find him and return him home. From that point, Kaitlin was able to close the dog door to pen the dogs in the house as needed during thunder or fireworks.

The safety our your pets is my top priority. I am good at following instructions down to the letter. I have worked with clients who have pets that don't get along, pets that take a long time to warm up, and pets that can only be leash walked because they will break through the fence.

When I worked at the animal shelter, I came up with an enrichment and behavior program to keep the dogs happy and healthy. We also have shots and oral medications daily. If your dog has any special behavioral needs or medical needs, don't hesitate to reach out to me and let me know.
A typical day
I am very flexible depending on the dog's needs. I will do everything from cuddle with them to throwing the tennis ball for hours. If you want to work on basic obedience, I can do that as well. I also love long walks by the lake or through the trees.

Availability
I am currently working full time, but I am available any time after 4pm on weekdays. I also have most weekends free to spend as much time with your pet as possible.
