Pet care experience
From cat TNR in the city to homesteading with chickens and goats, my experience with animals runs the gamut. I am confident and comfortable with pets, especially elderly dogs as I've experienced the aging process with my own creatures. My husband, Sam, helps with caring for the creatures, so you’ll probably meet him when dropping them off.

Kait & Sam are truly great dog sitters - this is the second time I’ve left my senior pup in their care, and he’s back home happy & healthy. They administer his oral meds and he even snuggled their cat! Highly recommend.
Kait & Sam took fantastic care of my older (13 years) pup - knowing he was in such good hands made me able to enjoy my time away. They were able to administer his multiple medicines, and took him on short walks around the property to see the goats and chickens! Glad to have found these capable dogsitters and neighbors - highly recommend.
I came home to happy kitties and a clean home for all of us. Thank you Kait and Sam!

Safety is a priority for the animals in my care. I have appropriate gates and doors to separate dogs from things such as going up/down stairs or getting underfoot, as well as making sure that dogs eat or sleep separately from each other as needed. I also keep leashes on hand and will always adhere to client safety requests.

A typical day
I live right next to the Rail Trail, so dogs will get plenty of walks on the trail, as well as access to our large barn and yard.

I work from home doing apple-related research for a university and I have a flexible schedule, so my priority is care and comfort. I schedule out my workday based on what animals need me at the moment.
