Pet care experience
As an animal lover with a child care background, I will provide quality care for your pet while you are away. Having worked as a child care professional, I understand the responsibilities that come with caring for another's loved one. In addition, my three years of experience working at an animal hospital has equipped me with the tools I need to keep your pets happy and comfortable. I had dogs growing up and a couple of my own as an adult. I currently do not have my own pet, which makes me more than happy to care for others! My hope as your pet sitter is to alleviate the anxiety of being away from your pets and to do so with TLC. I strive to be extremely communicative, easy to work with, and respectful of yours and your pet’s needs.

When pet sitting in your home, I am extremely respectful of your space and privacy and do my absolute best to leave things the way that I found them. Any boundaries you set will be respected. In my home, your pet will be allowed the same freedoms that you provide in your own home. They are allowed on the furniture, in the bed, wherever! In the same breath, any boundaries you want me to enforce will be. I have a fenced in yard and close access to many quiet residential streets for nice walks.

I love animals of all breeds and sizes! I understand that every pet has their own quirks that only make them more loveable. A heads up about your pet's likes and dislikes would allow me to provide the unique TLC they deserve.
A typical day
First and foremost is your pet's comfort. My choices in care are determined by their unique personality. As an active person myself, I'm always up for a nice walk (or run) and visits to the park. However, if your pet would rather lounge around the house, I'm definitely okay with that!

Availability
I am an elementary school teacher with a very regular schedule Monday thru Friday from 8:00-4:00. I don’t do much outside of that and would be able to give your pet lots of care and attention. I live with my husband, who has also always been my partner in pet sitting. His work schedule offers a lot more flexibility than mine and the opportunity to work from home. Should you need to drop off or pick up your pet at a time that isn’t convenient for me, it is always an option to use his flexibility as a solution.
