Pet care experience
My name is Kaila. I've lived in Oregon for six years (originally from MA) and really love it here. I own a house in Portland with my husband and we have one blue heeler named Oakley and two senior cats named Lukasz & Lola. I don't discriminate against any breed! I just ask that your animal be good with cats and other dogs. <3 I've had a dog my entire life. I have volunteered at shelters and have been a foster parent to many cats along the way. If you decide to let your dog board at my place, you can expect daily "pup-dates" with a picture or video of your pup and a summary of how the day went. We have a fenced in yard, so your dog will get plenty of safe outside time. I have no children. I also work from home, so your dog will have someone with them all day. Additionally, if you hire me for walking or daily check-ins, you can rest assured I will take great care of your dog.

Kaila was great at caring for our greyhound Iggie! She updated us each day several times, which made us feel great and know that Iggie was being cared for. Iggie loved playing in her yard and being cozy on her couch! We will definitely rebook with Kaila again and highly recommend her!
Kaila did a wonderful job watching our pup overnight. She was very responsive and sent lots of photos. Kaila was very kind and welcoming, we felt very comfortable leaving Cortez in her care.
Our pup had the best time with Kaila! She got lots of attention, walks and a new playmate with their own dog - she was sad to leave. Kaila was super responsive and sent daily updates and photos. We will be sure to book with her again whenever we need vacation care or even day care.

The most important thing I need to know is that your dog will be respectful of our dog and two cats. I want everyone to be safe and happy <3 Also, please have your dog up to date on vaccinations. Additionally, would love to know: -What is your dog's current schedule like? -Do they have separation anxiety? -Are they on medications? -Are they super active or do they like to be a couch potato? (I love all!) -Any issues with eating/food? -Bathroom habits?
A typical day
We will go on daily walks! Our neighborhood has sidewalks. We also really like to go up to the Greenway in Vancouver and do longer walks on the weekends. Our blue heeler has a lot of energy so we are constantly taking him to run with the ball or playing outside with him. Your dog can expect the same.

Availability
**I have received a few doggy day care inquiries from people with late schedules (such as requesting a 10pm/11pm pick up), so I thought I'd give a quick background on my schedule. While I do WFH, I am on a European team so I wake up at 3AM for work. If you are requesting doggy day care, I can accommodate dogs as early as 6:30am to as late as 6:30pm due to my earlier bed time.**
