I've been around animals my whole life. I have a chihuahua that lives with my parents and I have a cat I adopted from the humane society two years ago. I've volunteered 150+ hours at the golden valley humane society in the cities on the dog adoption floor. I assisted people in finding a dog that works best for their family. I worked at an animal hospital as a kennel assistant throughout high school where I took care of many dogs and cats, including administering medications. I've also worked at a pet store taking care of a variety of animals, and was tested on my knowledge. I have a very flexible schedule throughout August. My parents have a very large mastiff/lab mix, 135 pounds, that I'm used to handling so large dogs will not be a problem.
