Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Kaeli. My family has owned dogs for my entire life, so I've been caring for dogs (often two or three at a time!) for as long as I can remember. When I relocated to Tacoma from Minnesota for my AmeriCorps term with Habitat for Humanity, I had to bid farewell to my beloved Ginger (Vizsla), Finn (Collie), and Libby (Boston Terrier). I started pet and house sitting for coworkers and friends in Tacoma when I first moved here, and I'm looking forward to using that experience, as well as my experience as a pet owner, to care for your dogs and give them the love and attention that they deserve! I have experience caring for a range of breeds from Corgis to American Staffordshire Terriers and everything in between, and I am comfortable and flexible following care routines (including administering medication) and observing your established boundaries. So whether your Goldendoodle likes to listen to NPR when you're not home and needs to stay fresh on her tricks every day, your Doberman loves snuggling on the couch, or your Blue Heeler lives for going on hikes, I'm your girl!

Kaeli took wonderful care of my two dogs for a weekend. She gave them all the love and care i could have asked for my babies. She even stayed at my house While we were gone so they didn’t have to ever go to Long by themselves. I highly recommend her to dog sit.

Please let me know any allergies, medications, established house rules & routines, and personality traits your dog has. It is also important for me to know feeding routines (what time, how much, what types of food), approximate exercise level/needs, and whether your dog is comfortable around other dogs and new people, as this will affect the way I provide exercise for your dog. I do not have breed preferences! I have owned and cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
A typical day
I am flexible and eager to accommodate your dog's activity level, whether that means one 15 minute walk per day and snuggles all night, or heading out for a longer hike or trip to the dog park. I enjoy taking dogs to the parks at Point Defiance, Steilacoom, and Chambers Bay, as well as going for walks in and around Tacoma (Ruston Way, Wright Park, etc.). If your dog LOVES meeting new people, I am often at the University of Puget Sound, where tons of dog-loving college students would be thrilled to give your pooch some love!
