I grew up with a house full of animals including a playful Old English Sheepdog and a feisty Airedale Terrier and was often responsible for dog walks and feeding. As an adult I have also had the privilege of loving and caring for a Maine Coon cat for the past 19 years. Before he passed, I did everything I could to make him comfortable. I’m familiar with special diets, finicky eaters, and administering multiple medications at different times of the day. I have also been a dog walker/sitter and cat sitter for several folks in the Portland area for the past 8 years in their homes whenever they leave on vacation. I can wrangle active dogs on multiple leashes. I am firm yet loving and always attentive and observant when out on walks with dogs. I love all the unique quirks and traits of all the dogs I’ve cared for, even the challenging ones, and would love to learn more about your animals to give the best care I can provide while you are at work or away.

Kacy has house sat for us many times when we've left for vacation usually for at least 2 weeks. And we leave her quite the handful with 2 energetic (read neurotic) large dogs, a cat, a guinea pig and 2 lizards. One of the dogs is particularly challenging and has a bit of separation anxiety going on. Kacy manages this seamlessly and our animals love seeing her. She is obviously both devoted to and understanding of their care and their needs. It's such a great feeling to have a not a moment of worry about your crew back home when you're away and Kacy provides this for us time and time again
Kacy is simply the best! She has provided care on several occasions for our senior dog and we never have to worry about him when in her hands. Her loving and nurturing nature makes her a natural with the fur babies.
I hired Kacy to watch my cat Mochi for one week while I went on vacation. She stayed at my apt and made sure lil Mochi received her twice a day medication and even sent me status updates and a video to help me feel more at ease. I highly recommend Kacy for your pet watching needs: she is reliable, trust worthy and friendly! You can rest assured that your pet is under the best care. I will definitely be hiring her again!
