I’ve had all types of pets my whole life! But when it comes to dogs , there’s always been a variety in caretaking. I recently moved into my own home in RI outside my family household , however prior to leaving I was walking , feeding , brief training and of course incorporating play time with my two dogs , Ginger and Daisy ( one was a large golden lab and a small terrier dachshund mix ). The size differences always concerned people, however it was very engaging to learn and understand how to play with various types of dogs while getting them to get along as well. I would walk them 3 times a day and feed them twice a day. Other than taking care of my own pets my whole life, I also was caring for a neighbors dog, who is a pitbull mix who had LOTS of energy and struggling with pulling the leash during walks. I found a solution by giving him lots of outdoor play time to work off the energy, we also went on longer walks and activities while also attempting to train him as well by keeping the leash at a short distance and getting him to stop pulling. There are so many different dogs out there with such unique personalities and I am a firm believer of getting to know them and working out their specific needs and requirements. I have years for experience with elderly , puppies, special needs and even administering medicine when having so many animals around me through my life time. Now that I live alone, my cat keeps me company but I miss that doggy loving and excitement when I walk through the door and I would be so grateful to be able to help another family maintain proper care and love for their furry companions.
