I have cared for pets since I was young enough to walk. Living in a rural area allowed me to have a range of animals from cats, parrots, dogs, hamsters, chickens and even goats. I have a lot of experience with animal handling and a love for any non human friend. Back home in NY I have six small dogs and six cats of my own that I miss greatly. The past year I was living in Tampa where I fostered dogs through a rescue while living in an apartment. I fostered puppies to older adults, high energy breeds and even a severely abused aggressive dog that I worked with for over two months to stop his violent tendencies. There was about 7 or 8 dogs I had for varying lengths but most were strays which meant I am familiar with the need for adjustment and decompression with a new environment or handler. I also volunteered at the Tampa Bay humane society running outreach events. I was able to work my way up to an event lead, being in charge of getting our puppies adopted on the spot at the events. Ultimately every dog just wants to be loved which is what I can provide while their owners are away.
