Justine is very cordial and professional in person. Our interview went well and she appeared to understand what our requirements were. Basically making sure not to leave our pets for more than 6 hours, take them outside for bathroom, feed them. The only extras we asked were to take the trash to curb on 2 days and water plants on the table. Not too difficult ... I have a video surveillance system at my home that I also told her about. Very visible. I am not sure if there was a break down in communication, but the dogs were fed the first 2 days of the Justine's stay but she was gone from the house for more then 6 hours at a time. I wish she had communicated that this was an issue before she took the job. The last straw was when she left our house at 8: 30 in the morning only to return at 10 AM and then immediately leave without having taken the dogs out. That made me curious to what I saw happen next. She came back with a gentleman at 8:30 PM, let the dogs out for 10 minutes and then locked them back up at 8:42 PM without having fed them. I will not share exactly what I saw next, but basically, she and her friend went to the guest bedroom till morning. During this time, I was on the phone with Rover letting them know what happened and sending them my camera footage for what happened. Very shocked. Luckily Rover was able to fine a replacement and Justine was professional enough to leave our home/ keys and garage door opener. The replacement sitter had to take pictures of the explicit mess in the guest room so that it could be shared with Rover. UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. I don't believe that Justine understands the role and responsibilities of house sitting. This is not the way to treat other peoples pets and homes. I hope that things change but at this point, I cannot recommend her for future sitting and I believe that she should be removed from Rover completely given this inappropriate behavior in your client's homes.

Justine was excellent - caring, responsible and very responsive. She was prompt to respond and kept us informed of our doggie whe we were away with texts and pictures. Our dog immediately loved her and they had a great time while we were away. I felt very comfortable and had peace of mind knowing Justine was with our fur baby. Justine left the house nice and clean and even out Josies toys away : )
