I have had dogs (amongst other pets) my entire life since childhood. Aside from that many people have placed trust in me to stay in there homes and watch their beloved babies for both short and long periods of time. I have also been on the opposite side of needing a dog sitter and I understand how important it is to ensure you have someone you can trust. I am very responsible, respectful, considerate and dependable. I have also had experience working in Humane Societies. In high school I participated in Open Paw classes hosted but the Pinellas County Humane Society which taught volunteers how to interact with the dogs in the shelter. I was responsible for daily duties including the cleanliness of the facility and kennels, paying special attention to dogs that needed it, frequent walks and spending time with the animals. I have also spent time volunteering at the Humane Society in Cayman Islands where the care for dogs is immensely limited. This exposure helped solidify and build my care for animals. Here the process was different because of how much attention was required. I was able to witness people foster pets for the day or the week. They also played a huge role in shipping dogs out of the country such as New York for adoptions. I spent a typical 8 hours each day walking the dogs, bathing them, feeding and cleaning their kennels. I also assisted in taking care of the cats but cleaning their kennels, having playtime and even bottle feeding the new born kittens!
