My wife and I walk our dog 4 times a day anywhere between 15-20 mins. We do drills during the structured part of the walk to make sure he’s focused on us and not any other distractions such as another animals and people. We believe in crating our dog. We crate him for 3-4 hrs and then let him out for 1-2 hrs, and this routine is repeated throughout the day. When he is out of the crate and in between snoozes, we find ways to entertain Miso. We love to exercise his mind and nose by providing him with enrichment puzzles and games such as hiding treats in a rolled/fold up towels and engaging in brief training sessions. Also, we have gone through formal training within his first 6 months with us and we try to be consistent with using both positive and negative reinforcement to educate and train our dog.
