Hi there! We're new to the Tempe/Phoenix area, having moved in February for Justin's job. We adopted our "child" in June 2013, when he was 8 weeks only, so we have experience with very young puppies and have gone through the potty training, teething, chewing, and other stages with our boy. (This is Bianca's first dog, but Justin has had pups since childhood and has raised several puppies from a very young age.) Artoo is named after R2-D2 (and his middle name is "Dogtoo"), and he's a big Star Wars geek like we are, sleeping every night in a custom made Star Wars bed. He's an active almost 2-year-old lab/border collie mix, who is very friendly and gets along great with dogs of all sizes. Back in our home state of North Carolina, he frequently spent weekends at a day/overnight "camp" where he spent all day playing with dogs of all sizes, so he's very well socialized. Back in NC, we dog sat for a variety of dogs, from Ted, a tiny maltipoo, to Eisley, an active hound. Artoo is good friends with both, and perks up whenever he hears Eisley's name. We were also involved with the rescue group from which we adopted him, and we have even fostered for them. Here in Tempe, we have a large house with plenty of room to run inside and out. The yard is huge, and Artoo loves spending his days outside chasing balls and playing with his toys, then coming inside and snoozing the night away. We are very passionate about animals, especially dogs, so we'll treat your pup just like we treat our own, because we know your dog isn't just a pet - she's your baby. Visiting dogs are allowed on the sofa and can roam the house, but we'll follow any specific instructions you provide (such as not allowing them on sofa or bed, crating them at night, etc). Justin is often able to work from home, and Bianca works as a freelance writer from home, so your dog will always be monitored and will have plenty of attention! And as a bonus, Bianca likes to bake homemade all-natural treats for the pups too. We'll follow all your instructions for feeding, care, medications (no injections), and behavior, so you can rest assured your pup is in great hands with us! Why I love dog sitting Justin grew up with dogs, raising several of them from small puppies, including Artoo, who was only 8 weeks when we got him. As a child, his best friend was his dog Mase. Bianca grew up in a household without dogs, but was so happy to adopt Artoo in 2013. She's since grown much more comfortable around all dogs, and loves to arrange play dates for Artoo. About my yard We have a huge fenced in backyard with tons of room to run and play fetch. In fact, our yard is probably bigger than our house! Artoo likes to roam in and out all day, as long as we are home, so your dog will be welcome to do the same if you would like. We have a nice, grassy space that Artoo loves, and surely your dog will as well. My experience administering medication We can administer medication, but we will NOT do injections.
