I have done dog walking, dog sitting, and overnights with friends' dogs over the last ten years. I am not a dog owner or professional but I am caring and love dogs of all kinds!

It is important to know about the dog's personality, likes/dislikes, activity level, and any medications. Also, things to avoid and what to do to calm the dog down.
A typical day
With home visits, I like to engage dogs in active play with toys or without. However, I allow the particular dog to cue me into what he or she wants to do depending on activity level. We could just sit together and enjoy pets as well. I love hiking on my own in the woods, parks or just in the city, so I am able to take longer walks with active dogs or shorter ones with less active dogs.

I have occasional times open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when I work from home and can do dog walks. I am largely available on weekends for overnights.
