As a dog sitter who provides services in both my home and my client's home, my top priority is always the safety and well-being of the pets in my care. If I'm providing care in my own home, I ensure that it is a safe and comfortable environment for the dog, with plenty of space to move around and explore. When caring for pets in my client's home, I follow their instructions and routines closely to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care. I'll make sure the pet's feeding and medication schedules are followed, provide plenty of exercise and playtime, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. If I'm providing dog walking services, I'll always ensure that the dog is securely leashed and in a safe environment. During walks, I'll make sure they have plenty of opportunities to sniff and explore, and I'll always clean up after them. When staying overnight with a pet, I'll make sure they're comfortable and feel safe in their environment. I'll follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules and any medications they may need. I'll also provide plenty of exercise and attention, and make sure they have a comfortable place to sleep. Before caring for a new dog, I make sure to ask about their medical history, behavioral tendencies, diet and feeding schedule, exercise needs, and training and commands. Having knowledge of a dog's medical history is essential to provide proper care and attention to any ongoing medical conditions or previous injuries. Understanding a dog's behavioral tendencies is also important to ensure the safety of both the dog and myself, especially if the dog has a history of aggression, fear, or separation anxiety. Knowing a dog's dietary needs and feeding schedule helps me to provide proper nutrition while in my care. Understanding their exercise needs and preferences allows me to plan activities that are both fun and beneficial for them. Additionally, knowing any training the dog has received and any commands they understand helps me to communicate effectively and prevent misunderstandings. By gathering this information ahead of time, I can provide individualized care and attention for each dog in my care. My goal is to ensure that every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my hands.

Some activities I enjoy doing with the dogs I watch include: Playing fetch in the backyard or at a nearby park Going for walks in the neighborhood or at a nearby trail Going to a local dog park to socialize and play with other dogs Playing tug-of-war or other interactive games Providing plenty of belly rubs and cuddles As for special places to go on walks, I love exploring new areas with dogs and finding new routes to take. However, I do have a few favorite spots that I like to frequent, including: Local parks with trails and open fields for running and playing Quiet residential streets with minimal traffic for a peaceful stroll Nature preserves or wildlife areas with scenic views and opportunities for wildlife spotting Ultimately, I'm always looking for new ways to keep dogs engaged, stimulated, and having fun, and I'm open to suggestions from owners on activities and places their dogs enjoy.
