I have been doing dog walking and training for 3 years and have been mentored in my journey by a Woman who took classes from one of the best well known dog behavioralists, Patricia McConnell. I understand that it is important to practice commands on a regular basis, with your request I will practice commands that you use at home with your dog on walks or in home visits. With previous walks and visits, I have helped train dogs not to bark when they are left alone, to walk nicely on a leash, I have gotten dogs to start enjoying walks when they are stubborn about walking, and I have corrected aggression towards other people and dogs as well as working with very timid and shy dogs to help them become less fearful. I do all of these at no extra cost. I have experience in walking dogs with medical problems and who are in the process of recovering from surgery and know the proper ways of holding a leash for reduced pressure. I focus on positive reinforcement. Although “no”is needed some times, I believe dogs respond best to “yes”. I believe positive reinforcement works best in the long term.
