Do you ever see those old women who sit on park benches and feed an entire flock of pigeons lost in a kind of reverie? Well, I guess I do my thing in less conspicuous ways, but I’m the lady with dog treats in her coat pocket wherever I go. Of course I don’t just give out biscuits without asking the fur mom or dad first, but I just really love connecting with our furry friends whenever possible. I’ve always had a way with animals, especially dogs, and I have a special place in my heart for them. They’re like magnified mirrors––they reflect back what you show them multiplied by a thousand, at least! I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals and I’ve cared for my family and friends’ pets for as long as I can remember. I used to have an awesome Beagle named Nikey and he was the absolute best! It was love at first sight. My ex-husband and I had gone to the shelter and as soon as we saw him, we knew he was the one! He ran right up to us and started licking and chewing on our ears when we were on the ground with him. Dogs are so loyal and shower you with unconditional love. They don’t judge you based on how you look or where you work. I really think they have a sixth sense about the goodness of people and can sense positive, laidback energy. If you just sit with a dog and peer into their soulful eyes––it’s obvious that they are in tune to our moods and emotions. They know when you’re happy or sad, and they are the ultimate companion. I currently live with my parents while I sort out the next chapter of my life, but I am happy to dogsit at your place or swing by for long, leisurely walks. It’s always exciting to explore new areas and it’d be wonderful to have a furry friend with me. I work at night making deliveries, so I am home all day to hang out with your beloved pup, whether it’s cuddling up with a chew toy or playing fetch at a nearby park. I’ve been walking dogs with another company for a while and I’m just looking to branch out so I can meet as many adorable pups and their humans as possible. I’ve cared for various animals both for friends and on a professional basis, but I always put the animal first and foremost. I’m always thinking about their well-being and I like to come up with different ways to keep them happy, secure, and a little tired (after some brisk activity). I’m certified as a vet tech assistant, so I’m trained to administer basic CPR as well as other emergency procedures. Your pup will be in capable hands.
