Pet care experience
Hello! I’m a stay-at-home mom with a baby and a border collie mix who have a grand life- and would welcome your pup to join us for a while! Our days always include a nice walk about town checking out the local parks, views, and lakes, and then some time spent in our large wooded garden. We usually follow this strong start with a really laid-back afternoon of dozing or chewing on treats (I make a mean peanut butter and blueberry popsicle for the doggos come summertime!). Your dog will have plenty of company since I’m home the vast majority of the day, and if they happen to like babies, then they’ll get to lick off grubby baby fingers after mealtimes. If they’re not as comfortable with small humans, that’s fine as well and I can reasonably keep your pup from being bothered. I was a vet tech for a number of years and have had personal experience both with elderly pets and ones that require daily medical care. I am passionate, consistent, and safe, and would love to have your pup join me. *A quick note: to keep my schedule flexible, I am not currently looking for a permanent day-care engagement. Juliette was great! From the daily photos and videos that Juliette sent me, it's clear Pepper had a great time. Juliette was also great at setting boundaries for Pepper, who is still a rambunctious puppy. By the middle of the stay, Pepper was cuddling with Twy (Juliette's dog) which I have never seen happen. Usually Pepper is eager to play! I would definitely book again.
Five+ stars! Juliette was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for better care for our dog, Cozmo. Because of the limitations of travel during covid, we've been with Cozmo nearly 24/7 for the past couple years, so I think we all had a little separation anxiety with leaving him. Juliette put us and Cozmo completely at ease. He loved playing with her sweet dog, Twy in her lovely, spacious backyard garden. From all the wonderful daily photos, videos, journal write-ups that Juliette sent us, we could tell that Cozmo had settled in very comfortably, was happy, relaxed, well cared for and was having a great time. She let us know in detail how he was doing everyday, which was so appreciated. Juliette treated Cozmo like part of her family allowing him to take part in family activities and outings and sleep wherever he felt comfortable which was usually in her pup Twy's doggie bed. Thanks for being so accommodating too, Twy! We know that Cozmo misses his new friends and we will certainly plan to book with Juliette again. We highly recommend her to you too!

This was our first time with a petsitter/boarding our puppy, and Juliette was incredible! Our pup took to her right away and had such a good time in her backyard, playing with Twy, and on all the adventures to the water and parks. Juliette send very detailed updates every day with photos and videos, which we absolutely loved receiving! We knew our pup was in excellent hands and the peace of mind was invaluable. A HUGE thank you to Juliette -- we highly recommend her and I'm sure our dog is looking forward to his next stay!

Information Juliette L. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog reasonably potty trained and vaccinated? How do they fare with little kids? I’m happy to follow your lead and allow as much or as reasonably little contact between the two as you feel would be safe. Do they have a strong desire to run away? My yard is fully fenced, but a dog who really felt like making a run for it and was into doing some digging would need more supervision. Do they bark excessively? A few excited barks are fine, but dogs that like to bark for fun are less compatible with baby nap-times. Friendly dogs of all sizes are welcome!
A typical day
Every day includes a long walk; it might be a nearby stroll to Brighton Playfield to throw a tennis ball and catch a view of Rainier, or sometimes a longer one either up to the Genesee Dog park for some socializing, or down to Seward park for a dip in the water. Every so often we change it up and go for a hike in the mountains instead! Afterwards we’ll return home and relax or play in my large yard- it’s has tall trees full of song birds, squirrels for watching, and amazing spots for sunbathing and getting a good nap in. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we take our afternoon naps indoors and get some cuddle time in. My home is a cozy split level where we can set your dog’s bed up in the living room with a view of the kitchen so they can feel like a part of the family even when we’re cooking, or we also have a carpeted family room downstairs where the dogs are allowed on the couch for the best of cuddles.
