Your fur-ever sitter!
Pet care experience
I've been walking neighborhood dogs & pet sitting for friends and family since I was 9 years old. On my 14th birthday, I finally got my own dog, Ferguson, and we were best friends for 15 years until he passed away a couple of years ago. His later years have given me plenty of experience in taking care of an old fur baby in need of medication, shots, and extra patience & cuddles. I have also taken care of friend's, roommate's, and neighbor's dogs of ALL ages and sizes over the years, from elderly Pugs to puppy Great Danes. Whether you need your dog walked, bathed, fed, snuggled, played with, or all of the above, I'm happy to help! I also do overnight sitting for those going out of town that want their pups to be well taken care of in their own home.
Reviews
Julie is an awesome dog sitter! She took great care of our 3-year old Lab. She took her on long walks and played with her a lot. She also sent us lots of pictures and updates throughout. I would love to have her dog-sit again!
Best dog sitter ever! On a very short notice Julie was able to walk my dog and he seemed very happy in the photos she took.
I left my two little dogs with Julie over New Year's while I was out of state and she did a wonderful job! She stayed in my home with them for 4 nights and took excellent care of everything. She was very prompt and communicative throughout the whole process from the Meet and Greet to the dog/house sitting. She sent daily updates with lots of photos which put my mind at ease while I was away. One of my little dogs requires a medication which Julie was able to administer without difficulty. She left my home just as she found it as well. I really appreciated her attention to detail with the instructions I left. I will definitely rebook with her. Thank you Julie!
Julie was wonderful! We felt so much better knowing she was there with our pets. She was very kind in listening to my 7 yr old's "instructions", and the boys were thrilled with her daily reports or our Elf on the shelf shenanigans. Love her!!

I will always follow your instructions to a tee (i.e. feeding times, specific diets, walking habits, social interactions allowed/not allowed, medication schedules, furniture rules, etc.). I will not take a dog to do an activity off leash unless requested to do so, and I also know that it's a safe environment and have interacted with your dog enough to know that they will listen to my commands. I pride myself in being reliable, trustworthy, and respectful to both pets and their owners. Being a previous dog mom, I understand how important it is that the person watching your dog treats them as well as you would and follows your rules so that you don't need to break any bad behaviors upon your return (like begging for table scraps, etc.). Dogs need a lot of love in addition to the basic necessities, so I will make sure to give them all the pets and snuggles they each deserve!
Information Julie S. would like to know about your pet
Dog’s age, size, & activity level. How they get along with other dogs (i.e. do we need to cross the street on walks if another dog is coming our way or can they say hello). Whether they’ll lunge at passing small children, skateboarders, runners, seagulls, pigeons, etc. on walks (I’ve only experienced this with large/giant dogs who are full grown but basically still puppies, which isn’t a problem for me, but it’s nice to know if I should anticipate it). Any injuries to watch out for or precautions that I should take (i.e. needing to be carried up/down stairs, hip/knee problems that could be exacerbated by playing with other dogs, broken nails, allergies, etc.).
A typical day
Walks (or jogging if your pup needs a faster pace) around the neighborhood, playing fetch with a stuffy or ball (in house/yard or off leash in safe/enclosed area if we meet my off leash requirements), beach walks (La Jolla Shores & Coronado dog beach are my favorites), Kate Sessions park trips, Waterfront park if dt. I don't normally go to standard dog parks unless it's a park you frequent often and feel comfortable with the other dogs that go there.

Availability
For overnight pet sitting, your pup(s) will have plenty of company, so you don't need to worry about them getting lonely! I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and will hangout with them in the morning before work, mid-day on my lunch break, all evening, and full-time on weekends! I'll also send you pictures of your furry friend(s) and updates of how their day, walk, and/or play session was. I usually send a morning and an evening update while house sitting with plenty of pictures. I do work Mon-Fri from 8 am to 5 pm in Del Mar but am able to visit your pup mid-day around 12:15 pm to do up to a 20-30 min walk (depending on where you live), potty break, or just hangout to give them cuddles!
