Pet care experience
Sometimes you just want someone who knows cats. I've had cats for twelve years and I volunteer at a cat shelter. Cats are obviously different from dogs and have different needs, which I can help with. My two cats are seniors now so I know how important it is for them to have continuity of care and chin scratches.
Reviews
I have used Julie several times for 30 min drop-ins to check in on my two cats. She is always prompt and follows instructions to a tee. Julie is responsive and always double checks to ensure that she is fulfilling my request for the cats. One of our cats is afraid of new people and Julie respects his space. The other cat seems to enjoy when she arrives which makes me feel at ease.
Julie was great an very attentive with Blake! Perfect peace of mind while I was traveling!
Julie was so communicative and friendly. Our cat loved her and felt comfortable with her right away, and we got so many cute photos and funny updates during our time away. We returned to a very happy kitty. We’ll absolutely be requesting Julie as a cat sitter in the future!
Julie was very attentive and managed to befriend my notoriously shy cat. She did an excellent job!

Safety, trust & environment
I am vaccinated and boosted. Happy to wear a mask in your home. I can also get mail, water plants, make sure the cats haven't destroyed anything (within reason).
Information Julie S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what kind of engagement your cat likes. It's also important to note whether your cat doesn't like strangers so I can give them space. While I'm not great at giving cats pills, I have a lot of experience hiding pills in food. One of Rover's questions is about injections for dogs. I have given my cat an injection if that is needed.
A typical day
Tell me what your cat's favorite toys are and I can play with them or I can just give them some human company. If they prefer to do their own thing and hide from me, I will give them space. My goal is to help you feel confident that your cat is being taken care of whatever that means to your kitty.
Services
Julie can watch in your home
Availability
I currently work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. I travel by T and bus. I am happy to see if I can get to your house if you give me a general idea of where you live.
