Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner and dog sitter for over 20 years. We recently lost our Boston Terrier, and we'd love to welcome your dog into our home! In our house, dogs rule. We are a fully pet-safe space, and your dog can have the run of our home. I work from home full-time, so frequent trips outside are no problem, and I'm an avid triathlete, so I can exercise your dog as much or as little as you (and your dog) want! As I've had experience caring for 8-week old pups, senior dogs, and everything in between, I understand how to cater my attention to each dog's needs. Photography is also a huge hobby of mine, and for those dogs that cooperate well, it's not uncommon for me to snap a few fun studio shots from time to time as a nice bonus for you!

Julie has been wonderful with our puppy Claire. She’s very prompt at responding, sends lots of updates and pictures throughout the day and provided our pup with lots of attention and exercise. We look forward to booking again!

We had dogs of our own until about a year ago. Although we're not ready to welcome dogs of our own back just yet, our home remains fully dog friendly, and your pup gets the run of the space! We are fully comfortable with injections, medications, and most special requests, having done all of this for our own dogs in the past. Although we do have a cat in the home, the cat and your dog will never cross paths unless you advise us it's OK.

I want every dog I care for to have the best experience possible, and for every owner to have peace of mind that their pet is safe and happy with me. I'll always need to know the basics of dietary restrictions, feeding times, and any current medical issues. In addition, please let me know if your dog has particular phobias or emotional triggers, what commands/visual cues they use for training, and what rules they follow at home (I certainly don't want to instill any bad habits!)
A typical day
Every dog has its own needs and wants, whether it be a day of snuggling on a couch, going for slow walks, or heading out for a vigorous run. I cater the day to each dog and am comfortable with all of the above. I live on a very quiet residential street, providing a safe environment for walks and runs, while my large yard offers a nice space for a game of fetch. For low-key dogs, my couch or outdoor deck are great spots for the dogs to enjoy a snooze.

Working from home Monday through Friday gives me the ultimate flexibility to care for your pup. I can take him/her outside as needed, work in short training sessions during my breaks, and give them around-the-clock attention.
